Over the summer, Stonewall leaned into joy as an integral aspect of queer liberation. By producing our own incredible events, and providing funding for fabulous partner organization events, we got a glimpse of the joyous queer future our community deserves - the future we fight for every day here at Stonewall.

Bee’s Fund was created in 2003 in honor of Bee Winkler Weinstein by her daughter, Dava Weinstein, and Dava’s partner, Dorothy Calvani, the Fund’s lead donors. Over the course of Bee’s Fund’s lifecycle, together, we dispersed nearly $500,000 in support of over 4,500 young people.

Stonewall has been supporting organizations across the country that are pushing back against the “slate of hate” – the rise of anti-trans and anti-queer legislation. This month, we’re spotlighting Drag Story Hour, a grantee partner whose work is more vital now than ever before.

The 2023 Vision Awards continued the momentum of last year's strong fundraising, thanks, in part, to the support of SCF fund partners! It was a memorable evening as we came together to celebrate Stonewall’s game-changing work and the beautiful, vibrant community we serve.

The Stonewall team is growing and glowing! This May, we welcomed a new Major Gifts Officer to our small-but-mighty team. Kazem Ghouchani (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based development and marketing professional with over six years of experience in community building and cultural programming. We’re thrilled to have them on board!
