A Vision of Gratitude
Each year, Stonewall’s Vision Awards bring our community together for a joyful display of LGBTQ brilliance and resilience. On June 17th, as always, the Vision Awards were a tribute to queer magic: our complexity, powerful diversity, and flair for changing the world. Our honorees also brought the magic. Whether in courts, song, or film, on TV or IG, these incredible individuals uplift LGBTQ people in ways that are uniquely their own. This year’s honorees were:
Dan Levy, Emmy-winning actor and showrunner of Schitt’s Creek
Andra Day, Golden Globe-winning actor and singer
Colman Domingo, acclaimed actor and social justice advocate
Andy Marra of TLDEF, trans trailblazer and nonprofit superstar
Christopher “Plant Kween” Griffin, queer social media phenom
For us, Vision is mission work, because philanthropy is love in action and we practice that every time we raise money to invest in an LGBTQ organization, project, or person. If you missed the stream, you can still catch all the action at our YouTube channel. Tune in here.
A big thank you to our sponsors, donors, donors-to-be, the 2021 Host Committee, and everyone who held a watch party. With your help, we are directly supporting thousands of LGBTQ leaders who, like Andy Marra and her team at TLDEF, are ushering in a future grounded in safety, opportunity, and freedom for our people.
