Trans Day of Visibility

Visibility without protection is a trap. While it’s undeniable that trans folks deserve to be celebrated, it's not enough to just acknowledge that they exist. Anti-trans legislation and violence is on an alarming rise, and it's on ALL of us to help build the world that trans people deserve.

Here are a few ways you can join Stonewall in building a better world for trans folks:

The Stay Gold Fund

This fund was created by trans novelist Tobly McSmith and exists to support trans and gender non-conforming (TGNC) individuals on their paths of transition. The Fund is a vital resource for TGNC folks, providing financial support to those seeking gender-affirming surgeries and medical care. 

The Mx. Bond Fund

This fund—created in honor of trans icon Justin Vivian Bond—provides direct support to organizations and projects that are by and for trans and gender non-conforming people. Grants from the Mx. Bond fund tackle key issues from housing, education, and employment to family acceptance and ending violence.

The Emergency Response Fund

This fund exists to quickly mobilize resources for the LGBTQ+ community in times of crisis. With the recent uptick in hateful anti-trans legislation and violence, we’re bolstering support for trans communities in under-resourced—and increasingly unsafe—regions of the country, like the South and the Midwest.
